Of course you can - persons who have a good relationship with their Creator Jehovah (for listening to His words and obeying them, being loyal to God, exercising faith in His Son, etc.) can have mental contact with the Person of God through prayer. He answers back through His own living, Holy Spirit (God's active force)-backed words, His Holy Scriptures; and through the out-workings of His Holy Spirit in person's lives. Is Jehovah, the Sovereign, Designer, Creator, and Maintainer of the Universe and Life in it real? I think you already answered your own question!
