“The main thing” God asks of us, is what Christ said is “THE GREATEST” commandment - which is to LOVE GOD, with all one’s heart, mind, soul, and strength. “You must love your neighbor as yourself” is the “second greatest commandment.” The priority of loving God FIRST is important. Without being loyal and obedient to God, with His words, FIRST, “loving our neighbor” becomes like the blind leading the blind. Our “neighbors” are NOT God, are NOT who are to be worshiped, in God’s place. There are those who believe so, however - “humanists”, who are akin to atheists - and with this, they deny owed worship to God, and throw off Divine direction and instructions. This does NOT serve the best interests of their fellow human beings or themselves.... It is important to understand that even though Christ said that these are the two “greatest” commandments, they are NOT the only ones humans are required to follow. As Jesus also noted, “Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every utterance coming forth through Jehovah’s mouth.” (Matthew 4:4) God expects humans to follow the rest of His commands too. The “two greatest” commandments are a summary......Humans do NOT have “immortal souls” - that is NOT a Bible teaching. Keep searching the Scriptures. YES - if all persons obeyed God and Christ’s scriptural laws, there would be NO WARS, etc!

It might help you to know, however, that besides atheism-Satanism; Satan also runs an entire world empire of FALSE religions, which Jehovah calls "Babylon the Great", in Revelation chapters 17 and 18. Again, this is NOT the priority. The “FIRST and greatest” commandment is to LOVE GOD, with all one’s mind, heart, soul, and strength. ONLY by having these two things in their scripturally-given proper place is it possible to fulfill God’s requirements and actually be helpful to our “neighbor.” Our “neighbor” is NOT to be worshiped; and if we fail to listen to God and be loyal and obedient to Him first, we can’t help our neighbor like we need to - it would be like being a blind guide. We do not want to twist the words of Christ, or any of the Scriptures.

Jesus DIED - was demonically tormented and murdered/ slaughtered, by demonic and conscienceless BEAST PEOPLE, in the service of SATAN. Jesus ran a full risk of losing his eternal life, plus the lives and futures of all of mankind, if he gave in to temptation, turned against God, and failed. We are only alive now, because he stayed true and did not fail, by sinning. Jesus' death - which did NOT have to be that way - COVERED for Adamic sin; and further, was enough to cover for the sins of generally obedient-to-God persons who sin, due to inherited imperfection and weakness, but who are genuinely repentant (with God being the judge of that) and turned around from those sins. Jesus' death, as it was, balanced the tables of Divine Justice. This does NOT mean, however, that God could not also raise Him back to life. Jesus sacrifice, however - as NOT properly taught by the world's FALSE "Christian" religions - will NOT cover for the sins of all people. If any persons treat the sacrifice of the human life of the Son of God with abuse, sinning against God's holy spirit - "outraging the spirit of God's undeserved kindness with CONTEMPT", there is no longer any sacrifice left to cover for their sins, and so their future is only eternal death. (Hebrews 10:26-31)......There is NO "HELL" as a place of torture. That is a demonic, anti-whole-scriptural LIE teaching common to many of the world's FALSE religions. The words all translated into "hell" were words that meant "grave", "pit", "hole in the ground", the common grave of mankind, and a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem, where the bodies of criminals were also thrown - Gehenna. Jesus used that metaphor of Gehenna to describe a state of being so inexcusably evil that one is condemned to eternal death.

ONLY as evident by the SCRIPTURAL context, however. Genesis begins with, "IN THE BEGINNING, God made the heavens and the earth" - with NO time, age, or date being assigned to that. So there is no argument from the Scriptures (any of them) against the earth being millions or billions of years old. By context, some things in the Scriptures are meant to be taken literally - other times metaphorically; and yet other times, as in the case of the word "day" - as other scriptural use of that word, particularly, what other meanings the original words translated  into "day" (including figurative ones) - would allow for. "Day" as meaning EPOCH (of time) would certainly be fitting for the 6 creative "days" - they were 6 epochs of time. Later, God even referred to that WHOLE creative period (of the six "days") as being "THE *DAY*" in which He created everything He did - "This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time of their being created, in THE DAY that Jehovah God made earth and heaven." (See Genesis 2:1-4).............Yes, in contrast, the Bible DOES indicate the age of mankind - about 6044 years old now - from 4026 B.C.E. on.

But George Carlin's assumptions were WRONG, because THERE IS NO "lake of eternal fire and suffering and turmoil forever,"  "Lake of fire" in the Bible means just what God's words say it does: "the second death" (Revelation 20:14) - a future destruction from which no one will be resurrected. They will just be dead forever - NOT in any non-existent "hell" - but made, by God,  forever dead. Unless persons submit to God's righteous standards, He is under NO obligation whatsoever to continue to grant them life - and He won't.

It is necessary for persons to put LOVE OF GOD - WORSHIP OF GOD FIRST, exactly as Jesus' words at Matthew 22:37 STATE: He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 THIS IS THE GREATEST and FIRST COMMANDMENT. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.” Jesus did NOT teach - and the rest of the Scripture do NOT teach - that loving one's neighbor is of "THE SAME IMPORTANCE." No one else - no other humans - are to be put higher in importance/ loved more than/  worshiped instead of God. Love and obedience to/ worship of God is to be kept ABOVE everyone and everything else. That is repeated throughout the Scriptures. "Jehovah is a God EXACTING EXCLUSIVE DEVOTION" (Nahum 1:2; Joshua 24:19; Deuteronomy 4:24) The many FALSE "Christian" religions of this world infamously screw this up. Try to hear His “voice “ “speaking” to you through His words. Try starting by reading in the book of Psalms, at least for some while, every day. THEN, God might open your heart, mind, and eyes of understanding. God's holy spirit - His active force, is the strongest force in the universe, in existence. After you read from the Bible, take time to meditate on it afterwards, and apply it to your life. I hope you see how that works.
