What self-assuming, insolent, small-minded, and dark-hearted nonsense - NOT "free", wise, or original thought at all. This very type of attitude, speech, and behavior has been accurately prophesied to a stunning degree by the Creator - more than 2000 years ago. (Romans 1:18-32) Satan's carved an easy, non-obligatory, seemingly illicit-desire- accommodating, common path of God-rebellion - and you just gotta take it, off to warned-of ruin. Yeah - living with a self-centered and conscienceless mentality and outlook NO BETTER THAN THAT OF AN ANIMAL (and sometimes WORSE) is so "free". Even a dog will often show GRATITUDE towards the human that provides its food - but some persons "asserting themselves to be wise" CAN'T EVEN MANAGE to look beyond their ultra-small-minded self-centeredness to be even that decent towards the One who made them, gives them life, and has made everything around them. At the same time, nearly all of these critics of God are scripturally illiterate and/ or derelict to having any understanding of God's words - their lack of humility and spiritual dishonesty prevents them from being able to understand it. In the meantime, however, the biggest "joke" is on THEM, for a few reasons (that's what happens, when persons chose to be unrighteous fools): 1.) For their rebellion against God, they are practicing SATANISM, by default. All anti-whole-scriptural FALSE RELIGIONS and SPIRITUAL PHILOSOPHIES, which atheism ABSOLUTELY IS, are SATANISM - beLIEf in Satan's spiritual LIES and following his tenets (NOT God's). For their wanton rebellion and slander of God, along with inexcusable and conscienceless VIOLATION of His globally-given scriptural laws; they serve/worship/do the will of Satan. In exchange, Satan has NOTHING of any lasting value to offer them, and, in fact, wants them to die and be dead forever (as he himself is doomed to be, for leading the unrighteous rebellion against God). Oppositely, the Creator offers those who rightly respect, honor, love, and obey Him deep-down joy, peace, true wisdom, TRUE FREEDOM OF MIND (for being able to discern spiritual truth from spiritual lies, right from wrong, good from bad, etc.) [John 8:32] and everlasting life under paradise conditions. So, even from a "practical" standpoint, the atheist choice of god - which is Satan, by default - is a poor one. 2.) EVERYONE answers to God, EVERYONE will be held ACCOUNTABLE to Him, for whether they chose to do the right thing, which is to listen to and obey HIs globally-given, scriptural instructions to mankind. That will be the case whether persons BELIEVE IN HIM OR NOT. Whereas individuals can continue to abuse their free will, to be insolent, mocking, hateful and ungrateful, etc. towards God - violating his laws as they feel like - *the REAL QUESTION OF CONCERN FOR EACH PERSON SHOULD INSTEAD BE WHETHER JEHOVAH THE CREATOR BELIEVES in THEM*; or if He is angry at them. GOD IS NOT UNDER ANY OBLIGATION TO CONTINUE TO GRANT LIFE TOWARDS THOSE WHO STUBBORNLY VIOLATE HIM, VIOLATE HIS GLOBALLY-GIVEN SCRIPTURAL LAWS, and VIOLATE THEIR FELLOW MAN. Armageddon Day from Him - on which He will rid this earth of all forces of evil, and stubbornly and heinously evil individuals - is soon. (Psalm 37:10) 3.) This is the globalized information age, and the spiritual philosophy of atheism's ROTTEN FRUITAGE is showing. Again, rightly grouped with the world's other Satanic, God-defiant FALSE religions (including counterfeit "Christianity"), atheism has shared in filling the earth with gross injustice, VIOLENCE, BLOODSHED, and other EVIL. ATHEISM has infamously produced SHOCKINGLY DEMONIC, UNCONSCIONABLE, and ABOMINABLE CRIMES AGAINST GOD and HUMANITY - and now the whole world can see it, its EXPOSED. HATE for God and persons sided with Him runs lividly Satanic in some atheists, as they PERSECUTE and WORK TERRORISM AGAINST - even demonically SLAUGHTER - those with integrity to God (that they themselves do not in any way possess). Even their godless/ conscienceless/ Satanic behavior towards others in general has come to light and has been exposed. For instance, demonism is rampant and fierce in China, among haters of God/ servants of Satan: Execution vans have traversed the countryside, collecting dissidents, and gutting/ harvesting their organs out of their bodies. They have done the same to those in prisons, gutting their organs without anesthesia. And then there's the godless/ demonic disrespect for life shown towards infants too. Whoever can forget the image of the grieving, horrified mother, shown in a "hospital" bed, with her dead baby, whom atheists/demonists butchered from her body and placed at her side, so that she would have to look at it, to "learn a lesson" - that her body should not conceive another child. SO - ENOUGH WITH THE VAIN and TRANSPARENT LIES, THAT HAUGHTY and intrinsically-UNRIGHTEOUS, DIS-GRATEFUL, SELF-WORSHIPING [and Satan-worshiping], REALITY-DENYING [insane] ATHEISM "makes the world a better place." Clearly, that is condemnably FALSE. Atheism is NO better, as a spiritual philosophy, than any other FALSE religion of Satan's world empire of them, by which he controls anti-God humans as his doomed, world-ruining SLAVES. (1John 5:19)

Not necessary, NOR OWED TO YOU. The defect and fault is YOUR OWN; if you inexcusably DENY THE REALITY of the testimony of Jehovah's creation all around you, within your very body, and in your own existence.
You are responsible for your own spirituality and relationship or failure to have a viable one with God. His scriptural warnings have been given world-wide, by His true and faithful scriptural servants, as per His will, to their fellow human beings, as prophesied. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19.20; Ezekiel 3:17-21)
There is NO EXCUSE left for stubbornly and heinously God-insolent and wicked individuals. Such have been ruining the world and human society, like their master Satan, for far too long. Armageddon Day, from a rightly angry God, is soon. He will enact His vengeance, for all crimes against God and humanity, soon. He will carry this out whether people believe He exists or not.
The Scriptures state that even Satan and his demons believe that God exists, and that it makes them shudder (because they know that their punishment/future annihilation from Jah is imminent). And yet today, there are humans so insolent that they are not even up to Satan or demon-level with their believing the truth that God exists.
There's not a whole lot of hope for the willfully spiritually blind/insane. Not even the sum total of all of the Satanic anti-God brainwashing propaganda to spiritual lies is an excuse.
Prophesied, by Jehovah, over 2000 years ago (in scriptural context, these problems would be even more prevalent in these last of the pre-Armageddon days):
"For God’s wrath is being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who are suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way, 19 because what may be known about God is manifest among them, for God made it manifest to them. 20 For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened. 22 Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish 23 and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed creatures and creeping things.
24 Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, 25 even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
28 And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, 29 filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless. 32 Although these know full well the righteous decree of God, that those practicing such things are deserving of death, they not only keep on doing them but also consent with those practicing them." (Romans 1:18-32)
