Isaiah 40:22 says, "There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth." The Hebrew word, "chugh", translated as "circle" here can also be rendered as "sphere." Does the earth spin evenly on its axis, over 24 hours? Yes, with day gradually becoming night and vice-versa? Yes. If the earth was flat, day versus night/light versus dark as is observed in different lands world-over now, would NOT be the same. As the earth goes around the sun; with the axis of the globe/sphere of it tipped, seasons and hours of daylight change; again indicating a globe. Similarly, there's a gradient of temperatures - hottest at the equator and cooling going north, to the north pole; and also cooling going south, to the south pole. This indicates a globe, too. Air and water circulation indicate a globe. When one observes the moon during an eclipse, even with the naked eye, without a doubt, one is looking at a globe. Why would the earth be different. If the earth was like a pizza or a flattened bread; a person standing as if sideways, on an end of it would weigh differently than if they were standing on the middle of the pizza/ flattened loaf of bread (of such a mass). That is not what is seen though. If I flew to any point N, S, E, or W right now, I would weigh the same - because the earth is round, a globe. If the earth is flat, what's on the underside? For too, too many reasons, the earth can't possibly be flat.........................YES, except for those who heed the words of the Creator, "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
