Whether they be anti-scriptural, God-defiant and disobedient, demonic LIE-teaching and evil-working ATHEISTS/ “godless” or FALSE religionist (of “Babylon the Great” - Revelation chapters 17 and 18) REBELS against Jehovah, BOTH sorts have been serving Satan - doing his evil will, in defiance of God - and so have been destroying humanity for 6045 years and counting. According to atheism, people don’t have God-given human rights - there is nothing sacred about inalienable human rights - which is why atheists/the godless/ the God-defiant so willingly VIOLATE the God-given human rights of others. Even now, atheists/ the godless are working genocide against most of humanity - the power mongers among the godless want “the herd” (of what they consider to be expendable and exploitable mere animals, instead of human beings) REDUCED by 90%. To do this, they are working all sorts of also will-of-Satan-serving schemes - including destruction of scripturally God-ordained marriage and the family unit (including parental rights, over their own God-given children); violation of bodily integrity and the right to life (forcing vaccinations which destroy the immune system and introduce cancer and other diseases; working euthanasia - forcing the death of [murdering] the sick, impaired, old, poor, or otherwise “undesirable”); working “eugenics” through propaganda promoting abortions, homosexuality, transgenderism (which can include sterilization), infanticide, etc; violation of the expressly God-given, God-ordained/Authorized Human rights to freedom of speech and freedom of worship, to speak of and worship Him, on His own scriptural terms; and more. It is increasingly war now - between those of Satan (Gog), with his large throng of the “godless”/God-defiant (Magog); and the Creator and Universal Sovereign Jehovah. The outcome is also already known though - Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39; Revelation chapter 19 - so it’s a stupid, unrighteous, and inexcusable fight, on the part of the Satanic “godless” and God-defiant. The Creator will soon act to rid this earth of both FALSE-to-God religions (Revelation chapter 18) and atheism/“godlessness” (Romans 1:18-32; Jude 7,19,14-19). God, on His Armageddon Day, will remove all stubbornly and heinously evil and God-insolent persons from existence, forevermore. Then there will be true peace on earth. (Psalm 37:10,11)

It's good to know the direct warning from the Creator though, that those found guilty of "suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way" - which God considers to be tantamount to murder, for its effects - are "deserving of death", from God (Romans 1:18,32), on His approaching Armageddon Day, as He has been having the whole world scripturally-warned.
