Reason #1 is because neither of those other writings (nor the other works of recommended literature) are scriptural truth - neither one of them are the words of the Creator God. Neither of those address the moral issue underlying this show, which was the promotion of the homosexual sex/ gay "marriage" agenda - VS - God, with His scriptural condemnations against homosexual sex. Further, it was overtly disgusting and wicked that, after this work of mass-media-ed demonic slander and blasphemy of Jah and His life-vital words themselves, the GUILTY of these crimes-against-God host then "CHERRY-PICKED", gave his (and Dick's) "approval" for the taken out-of-context words of Jesus Christ saying, "love your enemy". Oh, isn't that NICE, and lovely, say these Satanic slanderers of God - look everyone, we'll take THOSE words of Jesus Christ, and put them upon you - now that we've done all we can to try mow you, your God, and the Holy Scriptures Authored by God over with our conscienceless and demonic public slander and blasphemy of them - by FALSE representation of them; exploitation of popular lies in regard to them (creating straw man arguments against God's words based on LIES); false and blasphemous charges against them (demanding that God accept evil and insolence on the part of human beings); and outright insolent ridicule and prophesied HATE for God, His Son, God's words, and anyone true to God, following His words. As David once spoke in the Psalms, by God's spirit, as a lesson, he hated those whom Jehovah hated. ("Hate" in the Bible varies in degrees / use of the word too. Sometimes it means, "to like less.") DEVIOUS MANIPULATIVE TACTICS - imputively demanding unjust "excusal" or allowance to work evil and slanderous speech (against Him, His Son, God's words, and believers in them), and yet be "loved" anyway - are transparent perversions and abuses of God's words and standards of Justice. It is narcissism against God (also see Romans 1:18-32); and narcissistic spiritual abuse of the God-believing listener, who had already been falsely accused and ridiculed, for their belief in the truth of their Creator. Again, the Creator does NOT have "unconditional love" - His words openly state that he hates/ detests persons who remorselessly engage in various evils, and being "a man of deception" is one of them. God’s live is OBVIOUS, in all of the good things of His creation - especially things designed not just for humans to survive, but to immensely enjoy. The creation all around and within humans screams “DESIGNER!!, CREATOR!!” (Beyond) SÚPER-POWER!!”, “AWESOME GOD”. This is true to the point that the Creator Himself has stated that humans, who observe and experience His creation are “INEXCUSABLE”, if they do not acknowledge the Creator’s Godship in what He has made, because He has made Himself manifest to human beings through these things. Romans 1:18-32 is an important read here. Any scientist should be less excusable to others, if they observe the even more intricate and magnificent designs in the creation and can’t manage to drops their jaws in amazement and awe, and say a profoundly humbled THANK YOU for life and being, to the Creator, Designer, and Life-Giver. God is manifest in His book of nature, to where man is inexcusable, if they do not seek out God and His truth, out of gratitude and respect, for this alone. However, God has also purposed for humans to learn vital details about Him, His purposes, His Son, His requirements for human beings, the origin of man, the reasons for the state of the world, how to deal with fellow human beings, how to avoid spiritual casualties by being fooled by Satan, how to find comfort, how to endure, how to be happy, what marriage is, what the true hope for mankind is, ETC. In His written letter of testimony and instruction, etc. to mankind. God’s written Bible Book and His book of creation testify to each other. Further, for those who become spiritual people towards Jehovah the Creator, they are able to discern His active force, His help, love, and caring in their lives. Persons who come to know God can have mental contact with the Creator if the Universe in prayer - another manifestation of His love, and with that, can experience more of His love and active force upon them, by strengthening them, giving them direction/opening their eyes, giving them comfort, etc. To experience God “talking back” to them too, persons can read In God’s Scriptural words. “The word of God is alive and exerts power” (Hebrews 4:12), and many tunes, persons of God find their “answers” from God at just the right time this way. As far as why shouldn’t humans have the “freedom” to do anything”, that’s has been a FAIL already. We were designed by God, NOT without Him; so for persons to want to throw their own Creator out of the picture is just plain wrong (or, as some might lightly say, “What could possibly go wrong?”). That’s where everything went wrong. That was Satan’s suggestion to the first two human beings - he urged them to throw off God’s rule and try to live independently of Him, rebelling against Him, claiming their “freedom” from Him, doing what they want and think is best, instead - and surely, by that “freedom” things would be better. Satan charged that God was withholding something good from humans by having rules for them, by not allowing them total freedom. God told Adam and Eve that if they disobeyed Him, they would die. Satan told them that God is lying - that if they disobey God, they “positively will not die.” All of that was a total lie - and this is where disaster and death began for the human race. These God-fighting and deadly lies from Satan remain the tenets of atheism and Satanism today, “courtesy” of the demonic lie propaganda that has continued down to this day. Think about it - God had placed Adam and Eve in a paradise, and had given them everything for their happiness. That was loving. They didn’t have to join Satan in his wicked rebellion against Jehovah - that was ungrateful and hateful. The same is true today - God is loving, and is offering it all - paradise again here, after Armageddon. He wants people to listen to Him, and just hang on, 'til He rids this earth of stubbornly evil persons. He can’t have them ruining life for good people, or ruining the upcoming paradise like Satan ruined Eden. The Creator is holy. That is a righteous standard of His for humans He has made in His image too. He knows what is best for His human family. So truly wise human beings will take a deep breath and listen to Him - and read His globally-given words. The honest-hearted will begin to recognize their place as being children, NOT the heavenly Father. And then maybe there will be a “Thank you, Jehovah”, for a sunset; to hold a baby’s hand; to pet a silky dog with big eyes; to drink a fresh, hot cup of coffee; ETC; That’s what happens when the light shines through.

Wow - you don't know much - so why talk like you do, to try to publicly discredit the life-vital words of God Himself to human beings. Just as the Creator thoroughly purposed its contents, of the life-vital knowledge and instructions, etc. He wanted mankind to know, so He also purposely oversaw its compilation, preservation of every essential bit in it, and global distribution (just in time for the end of this world system). The Holy Scriptures are miraculous in nature - they are intra-harmonious. They are filled with knowledge ahead of its time, (including PROPHECIES which have been FULFILLED); Divine wisdom and more. "The word of God is alive and exerts power." (Hebrews 4:12) Contrary to the prophesied wanton liars against and haters of God's words - who do not want the scriptural words of God exposing and condemning what they do as being evil and unacceptable to the Creator - the Divinely Authored Holy Scriptures ARE TRUTH, from God. They are the highest spiritual Authority mankind has in its possession - but they are also just perfect for what godly and HONEST-HEARTED seekers of spiritual truth need right now, during these last of the last pre-Armageddon days of this largely Satan-run world system. Those who obey God's words will have a future beyond Armageddon Day from Him; those who do not will not. SO, when JESUS REFERRED TO THE INCIDENCES IN EDEN, as also recorded for mankind in Genesis; and IN THE DAYS OF NOAH and the FLOOD; ETC. HE WAS REFERRING TO DIVINE KNOWLEDGE - FACTS and OCCURENCES - that happened starting in 4026 B.C.E. (the creation of man) - 3599 YEARS BEFORE PLATO WAS EVER BORN (427 B.C.E.) The Great Flood Jesus strongly referred to (as a warning example for our day), occurred in 2073 B.C.E., 1646 years before Plato was alive. God's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah occurred in 1919 B.C.E., 1492 years before Plato lived. (The Stoicism mentioned was more recent than Plato.) PLATO and Stoicism were ABSOLUTELY NOT THE SOURCE OF THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST. (1John 5:19) The word of God is being hated (at least to some degree), by the many, just as prophesied. Scriptural truth from Jehovah the Creator is under attack, as are scripturally true messengers of it. Nevertheless, God's warnings (and words of hope, etc.) go out ANYWAYS, as per the infinitely stronger will of God. Soon, this fair warning period from God - before He brings His Divine cataclysm of Armageddon Day, upon the stubbornly and heinously evil and God-insolent persons of this earth - will be over. (Psalm 37:10; Revelation 18 and 19; Ezekiel 38 and 39; more.) After that - under the RIGHTEOUS and PERFECT RULE, of God's Heaven-based Kingdom, extended down to earth AS ITS ONLY RULERSHIP (Daniel 2:44) - LIFE ON THIS EARTH WILL BE FAR MORE THAN "SUSTAINABLE", and "policies" WILL BE FAR, FAR MORE THAN MERELY "HUMANE" (which would be egregiously INSUFFICIENT for the well-being or happiness of humans). Under the very TRUE, Heaven-based Kingdom of God here, God-obedient MANKIND WILL FLOURISH AND THRIVE. There will be NO MORE WAR, NO MORE SICKNESS, NO MORE HUNGER, NO MORE PAIN, NO MORE TEARS OF GRIEF, NO MORE LIFE-DESTROYING INJUSTICES, NO MORE TERRORISM, NO MORE RACISM, NO MORE POVERTY, NO MORE IDOLATROUS NATIONALISM, NO MORE REASON TO FEAR HARM FROM ANYONE EVIL. EVEN SIN and DEATH will come to be ELIMINATED ENTIRELY. THE ONE GLOBAL FAMILY OF MAN HERE WILL LIVE IN TRUE PEACE, LOVE, and HAPPINESS TOGETHER - UNDER THE ONE TRUE HEAVENLY FATHER, CREATOR, and UNIVERSAL SOVEREIGN JEHOVAH, UNITED WITH EACH OTHER IN LOVE BY THE SAME LOVE FOR and FROM GOD - FOREVER. His Son, Jesus Christ, will have Ruled (as God's appointed King) over mankind for 1000 years too - raising God-obedient and respecting mankind back to perfection; HEALING BOTH MANKIND AND THIS PLANET. Under God's Kingdom, pollution will be REVERSED. The Bible speaks of how trees will be as if clapping their hands together; how the desert will put forth torrents of water and blossom, etc. Humans will get to have the fulfilling work of making this whole earth into a giant, park-like PARADISE - just like God's original, which He started with Eden: That God-willed PARADISE will be extended, as it was meant to be, EARTH-WIDE. Dead loved ones, persons who died before Armageddon will (in general), be brought back to life here, to be given a second chance (without Satan and his trouble around) to learn of God's righteousness and then choose to obey and serve Him or not. Those that do can live FOREVER, like the rest of the happy human family. THIS IS THE TRUE FUTURE OF MANKIND ON THIS EARTH, AS PER THE WORDS OF THE CREATOR HIMSELF. (Psalm 37:11,29) Jehovah the Creator's very name means, "He Causes to Become". HE WILL CAUSE THIS TO BECOME. So, people need to listen. They should not act with short-sightedness and desperation, FOR IGNORING SCRIPTURAL, DIVINE TRUTH ABOUT THE FUTURE, to the harm of themselves or their fellow man, evilly violating ANY of THE GOD-GIVEN HUMAN RIGHTS of their fellow human beings, and "justifying" it based on FALSEHOODS and their REFUSAL TO LISTEN TO THE CREATOR and His wise scriptural commands and principles for humans beings. The time to attain to true scriptural wisdom and guidance from the Creator of mankind, apply it, uphold it and share it is NOW. It is known that MOST persons will reject God's life-helping and life-saving scriptural truth and wisdom. However, those who DO honest-heartedly seek it, learn it (John 17:3), and live it, to the glory of the Creator Jehovah Himself will find peace, hope, joy, and everlasting life beyond their wildest good dreams.
