Under a Bridge They Live

Under a bridge they live
Under a bridge they live
Hoping to survive
Under a bridge they live
In snow and wind they live
Distress in their eyes.

Men, women, and children
Shudder, cough and freeze
Cast-away, for not keeping up
With money-first society.

Under a bridge they live
Cold and hungry they live
Some come to bring them socks
Or cereal bars, or blankets, yeah
Or water, to divide up

Meanwhile, in the same place
Of those freezing, in 17 degrees
Its an over-run, right-violating police state
For which the people's money pays

Under a bridge they live
On concrete they live
Holding on, with icy tears
While the prejudiced
And middle class and up
Drive by on the way to dinner

Tell me about the 6 billion a year here
Spent on killing machines
While in the shadows of the haughty ones,
People freeze.

Under a bridge they live
Under a bridge they live
And they're scorned, for being poor
But what led them there
Do you really know
Or would you just blame them more.

The truth is, in this evil world,
It could happen to you or me
It's cause its Satan's world
Filled with the merciless
As anyone can see.

But soon that will be fixed
By an angry God
Tired of all He's seen
Of the wickedness, and injustice
Of  FALSE values and greed.

Under a bridge they live
Under a bridge they live
But that soon will be no more
When Jah takes this world
And rids it of evil *
Then poverty will be no more. **

And they will build houses
And in them they'll be living
Yes, they will plant vineyards,
And they will do the eating
No one will take it away from them
No one will live in fear
No one will be sick or in pain again
Once Jehovah's Kingdom's here.***
