Blood Transfusions: Against Jehovah's Scriptural Commands - AND UNSAFE, Disease and Death-Risking, BAD "Medicine"A Comment I Wrote Under a Video, in Response to Someone's Cliche/Popular though Slanderous, Mal-informed Claim that JWs "Cause Deaths" for Being Against Blood Transfusions

Then here is some ACCURACY: BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS HAVE KILLED MANY PEOPLE - some quickly, some more slowly. They IMPAIR or DESTROY the IMMUNE SYSTEMS of their recipients. BESIDES IMPAIRING or DESTROYING immune systems, at the SAME time, they CAN introduce PROGENATOR CELLS for CANCER. HIV-AIDS has been transmitted by blood transfusions and is a known risk of them. Getting A HUMAN VERSION OF MAD COW DISEASE - Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob (vCJD), a very rare but fatal brain disorder - is yet another risk of blood transfusions. And then there is graft-vs-host disease (transfused white blood cells attack the recipient's bone marrow). (Those are the more "SLOW" DEATHS.) [I strongly believe that blood transfusions caused cancer in my mother.] It is FALSE that screening tests for AIDS are 100% sure. Also, as in the case of AIDS, persons can RECEIVE diseases from blood transfusions BEFORE THOSE DISEASES ARE EVEN DISCOVERED, BEFORE THEY ARE EVEN SCREENED for. THEN, THERE ARE ALL OF THE "FASTER" DEATHS from TRANSFUSIONS: Heart failure; ACUTE LUNG INJURY; ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK; HEMOLYTIC TRANSFUSION REACTIONS - fatal or damaging mis-matches of blood components (known and unknown); RENAL FAILURE; hemochromotosis (iron overload); Yersinia enterocolitica sepsis; NEUTROPENIA; introduction of other diseases/illness and bloodborne infections (including Hepatitis B and C; West Nile virus; Malaria; and parasitic infections [like Chagas disease] ); other infections; ETC. (Epstein-Barr virus; cytomegalovirus [CMV]; and emerging viruses such as SARS and Avian flu are also spread by blood transfusions.) My mother DID suffer extended and DEADLY NEUTROPENIA from TRANSFUSIONS - her IMMUNE SYSTEM WAS SO DANGEROUSLY IMPAIRED FROM BLOOD TRANFUSIONS THAT EVEN CATCHING A MERE COMMON COLD COULD HAVE KILLED HER. The above are reasons why patients ARE ASKED TO SIGN WAIVERS, to release doctors, hospitals, etc., from liability for any damages [including death] that may occur as a result of KNOWN to be risky blood transfusions. (Some persons have even faked that they were Jehovah's Witnesses, in order to claim a blood transfusion would be against their religion, in order to lessen their chances of receiving one, with all of its risks.) With all such KNOWN (and UNKNOWN) RISKS and DANGERS associated with BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS, HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE EITHER DIED or SUFFERED LASTING, suffering-causing BODILY DAMAGE from BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS????? With the wide variety of damages and fatalities that have occurred, who has bothered to TALLY them ALL up???? The companies that PROFIT off of the blood transfusion industry???! Of course not. However, JEHOVAH, the Designer of human bodies and all of their intricacies, HAS BEEN KEEPING TRACK. He has given HIS LAWS to mankind, through His own words, to treat blood as HOLY, and to never consume it. THOSE WHO HAVE OBEYED GOD'S LAWS AGAINST MISUSE OF BLOOD are FREE FROM GUILT, before God, FOR ALL OF THE LOST LIVES THAT HAVE OCCURRED FROM BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS and OTHER MISUSE OF BLOOD. FOR HOWEVER MANY PEOPLE LISTENED TO GOD'S SCRIPTURES against MISUSING BLOOD - which have been preached as a service to mankind by Jehovah's scriptural messengers - and who WERE SPARED FROM THE DAMAGING OR DEADLY EFFECTS OF BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS; for THEIR PART IN MESSAGING THESE SCRIPTURAL INSTRUCTIONS FROM GOD HIMSELF, VIA THEIR VOLUNTEER PREACHING WORK, JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, WORLD OVER, HAVE SAVED THAT MANY PEOPLE'S LIVES or SAVED THEM FROM the SUFFERING THAT WOULD COME FROM OTHER BODILY DAMAGES. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT EVERYONE SHOULD THANK JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES and the DOCTORS WHO HAVE FACILITATED THEIR NON-BLOOD [transfusion] MEDICAL TREATMENTS - FOR ADVANCES IN NON-BLOOD [transfusion] MEDICAL CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS ARE NOW ARCHAIC. THEY ARE KNOWN TO KILL, DAMAGE, or IMPAIR persons bodies, and they SLOW RECOVERY from operations, etc. They leave people open to more or other disease for their damage or destruction of the immune system. NON-BLOOD MEDICAL TREATMENT has also been frequently MORE ECONOMICAL. BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS ARE NO LONGER THE TREATMENT OF CHOICE. OPTIONS EXIST. (For instance, as in the case of my mother - after the neutropenia disaster, caused by a blood transfusion - for additional surgery, the Mayo Clinic then had my mother [and others] use their hyperbaric oxygen chamber-room to build their blood oxygen back up.) Jehovah's Witnesses want the BEST MEDICAL CARE AVAILABLE that does NOT VIOLATE God's Laws and their intrinsic HUMAN RIGHT TO BODILY INTEGRITY. In this way also, the WHOLE person is treated - body, mind, and spirit together - for the BEST outcome. (And Jehovah's Witness parents want the SAME, of course, for their God-given children - whom they are responsible, to God, to protect, and to raise in His ways also.) Jehovah's Witnesses are EDUCATED, rather than being complacent patients, regarding their health care and lives. We are PREPARED to offer medical information regarding NON-BLOOD TREATMENT to doctors who yet need this information; and there are hospital liaison committees that can put doctors (working with Jehovah's Witness patients) in contact with resources/ other doctors for such help. In addition, there are NON-BLOOD medical treatment facilities that exist; whose clients include both Jehovah's Witness patients and OTHERS, who see the wisdom in NOT receiving blood transfusions. To finish, as one thoughtful doctor put it, he knew of no other group of people (in general) who value life and WANT TO LIVE more than Jehovah's Witnesses.
